Indoor Air Quality

Our indoor air quality services are a great example of Northwest Edison’s diversity and commitment to quality improvements. Indoor air quality is always an important attribute for facilities to consider. However, now more than ever it is imperative that facilities improve their air quality to ensure their employees, students, clients, family, and friends can be in their facilities safely. There are two main parts to improving indoor air quality: 1. Sensors and monitoring 2. Disinfection.

Indoor air quality sensors are able to provide many different statistics for customers to utilize. Northwest Edison has already designed and implemented indoor air quality sensors in two school districts, giving us the experience to point you in the right direction. These sensors come both wired and wireless and they allow for temperature, humidity, CO2, and total volatile organic compound (TVOC) tracking. All of these different capabilities allow the end user to better keep track a facility’s air quality. These sort of sensors and monitoring systems are crucial for modern day buildings. Especially in municipalities, hospitals, and businesses.

Indoor air quality disinfection comes in many different shapes and sizes. There are ones that utilize UV light, dry hydrogen peroxide (DHPH), and many more. Thankfully Northwest Edison can design and install any kind that works best in your space. These kinds of products pair perfectly with the indoor air quality sensors. It allows for the improvement of the air quality to be efficient, effective, and consistently monitored to make sure it stays that way.

Benefits that overall higher indoor air quality provide:

  • Increased productivity and comfort
  • Increased overall well-being
  • Decreased absence because of sicknesses caught in the facility
  • Prevents mold
  • Less bacteria
  • Lessens spread of any kind of virus
  • Deactivates viruses
  • Influx in proper airflow
  • Peace of mind
  • Freedom to remain open
  • Helps allergies
  • Overall safer work environment
